How Canvas quizzes work
Canvas LMS by Instructure is the standard at many universities in the US, the UK and the Nordics, and you will also meet it in international programmes elsewhere.
Canvas has two quiz engines: Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes. They look different and offer slightly different question types, but both support multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, matching, numerical answers and essays.
Instructors set a time limit, the number of attempts, answer shuffling and the “one question at a time” option with locked questions. Canvas also keeps a quiz activity log that the instructor can view.

Good to know before you start
LockDown Browser
Quizzes that require Respondus LockDown Browser run in a separate, locked browser without extensions. Quizonator will not work there.

When questions lock after answering, check the suggestion and the explanation before you move on.

Frequently asked questions
Does Quizonator work on Canvas LMS?
Yes. Canvas LMS is on the list of supported platforms. Open the quiz in a regular Chrome tab or in the Android app browser.
Does it work in Respondus LockDown Browser?
No. LockDown Browser is a separate browser where Chrome extensions are not available.
Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes?
Quizonator analyses the question visible on the page. If a question is not recognised in one of the views, use Snapshot mode or report the case to us.
Will Quizonator submit the quiz for me?
No. Submitting the quiz is always a separate step on your side.
