How Socrative quizzes work
Socrative is a quiz and quick-assessment platform used by teachers in schools and colleges around the world. Students open b.socrative.com in the browser, enter the teacher’s room name and their own name, and then answer the quiz one question at a time.
A quiz mixes multiple-choice questions (with one or several correct answers), true/false and short-answer questions. The teacher can shuffle questions and answers and decide whether students see right away if each answer was correct.
With instant feedback, an answer cannot be changed after you submit it. That is why Quizonator shows an explanation with every suggestion: you can judge the answer before you send it.

Single and multiple choice, true/false and short answer. An image pasted into the question is analyzed too.
Works in three modes
Default highlights the suggestion in green with an explanation. Instant selects the answer or types it into the field. Invisible leaves the page unmarked until you click the question text.
Never submits for you
You always submit the answer yourself. Quizonator does not move on to the next question either.

Good to know before you start
Short answers
Check the format the question asks for, such as decimal places or units. When your teacher grades text answers by hand, treat the suggestion as a draft.
Images and charts
When the key part of a question is an image or a chart, use Snapshot mode: select part of the screen and read the result in the panel.
AI makes mistakes
A suggestion is not a guarantee. Read the explanation before you submit: in many Socrative quizzes you cannot change the answer afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
Does Quizonator work on Socrative?
Yes. Socrative is a new platform in Quizonator: the Chrome extension recognizes questions in a Socrative quiz (b.socrative.com) and shows a suggestion with an explanation next to each one. The video on this page shows all three modes.
Which Socrative question types are supported?
Multiple choice with one or several correct answers, true/false and short answer. When a question has several correct answers, Quizonator points out every option it considers correct.
Which modes work on Socrative?
Default, Instant and Invisible. The FREE plan includes Default mode; Instant and Invisible come with PRO and PRO+. Snapshot mode (PRO and PRO+) can analyze any part of the screen.
Will Quizonator submit my answers?
No. Even in Instant mode Quizonator only selects the answer or types it into the field. You always submit it yourself.
Does it work in the mobile app?
For now, Socrative is supported in the Chrome extension on a computer. Open the quiz in a regular Chrome tab.
